Prof.Richard Feynman's two semi-autobiographical books "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" and "What Do You Care What Other People Think?" have some nice insights on teaching, research, being in academia, etc – right from Dr.Fenyman’s student life, to his later years as a professor, researcher and a scientist, all told in a very light-hearted way.
